About

I’m Sally Learoyd and I set up and run Stepchange Coaching because my passion is helping people achieve greater influence and impact through their work.   It’s a topic that has long been close to my heart.  In my own career and through many years’ experience of supporting others, I have seen the difference it can make.  For individuals, it allows you to be your best self more of the time, to make a difference and feel more fulfilled in life.  For organisations, the gain is the unlocking of talent and the extra contribution this generates.

My own experience of the world of work includes over 20 years as Human Resources Director in a diverse range of commercial organisations from PLCs (FTSE 100 and FTSE 250) to small owner-managed businesses.  Throughout I’ve worked closely with managers and directors including at Board level to help them and their organisations evolve, mature and rise to meet new opportunities and challenges. My track record in business includes delivering step change improvements in the skills of leaders, organisational culture, employee engagement, talent development and succession.

 

This background – together with an early-stage career as an account manager and company director in marketing services – means I have a first-hand understanding of the challenges, opportunities, responsibilities and privileges that comes with being a manager.  These insights allow me to connect quickly with my coaching clients’ situational challenges, add value to their coaching experience and enhance the outcomes they achieve.

I am a passionate believer in our capacity as human beings for change.  My approach is thoughtful and pragmatic and has at its heart the aim of helping people to learn, develop and grow to achieve valued and lasting results.
